HOUSEKEEPING PLEDGE

HOME KEY CONTRACTING’s Housekeeping Pledge is about applying our best efforts towards managing this concept properly. The essentials of good housekeeping are generally reduced to the principle of “a proper place for everything and everything in its proper place.” This implies a common-sense regimen on the part of all job site workers to maintain an orderly environment and a clean job site. Where applicable, we cover our job sites and near areas with materials to shield and protect the parts of the home that are not being affected by the renovation or remodel. We do our best to control dust, put tools away at the end of the day, and remove waste properly. We also avoid touching new finishes with dirty hands. For example, we know the frustration of when a beautiful lighting fixture has been hung, only to see it filled with dirty fingerprints from the installer. This puts the homeowner in a position to reach up and clean a brand-new fixture right after it’s been installed. That’s not how we operate. Just because the work can be messy doesn’t mean we have to be that way.
